A visit to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu is an unforgettable experience. On this tour visitors will appreciate the beauty of one of the world's loveliest valleys whose main the Urubamba river called the Vilcanota Inca times (God Rio) that also crosses the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, The Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu were always united by the mystery and expansion to the high forest Inkas, in this tour you will ax the route I use the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham to visit this majestic place.

Meet upon arrival at the airport and transfer to the chosen hotel. Rest of the morning free for better acclimatization. We suggest to take the morning flights in order to get Cuzco early and have enough time to rest.
In the afternoon we will visit the city of Cuzco, visiting the Main Plaza, the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) and then we continue to visit the four nearby ruins Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, Qenqo and Tambomachay.
Back to the hotel. Overnight

Early morning pick up from your hotel and then begin the Tour to the Sacred Valley, visiting the archaeological site of Pisac, Pisac market, then move to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo guided tour, after the visit we go to the train station, where we board the train to Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu village, after about two hours. Arrive to Aguas Calientes, transfer hotel.

Today is the most inportant day since we will be visiting Machu Picchu. Because its so special, we encourage you to wake up early in the morning to enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then get to the bus station to try to catch one of the first buses, which begin at 5.30 am (they are all first come first serve) and takes 25 minutes to get to Machu Picchu. As soon as you arrive to the complex, it is our job to take you to the best spot to overlook the all the ruins and get a panoramic view of the landscape and the sunrise over the mountains. There will be a rendezvous to observe dawn in order to get an spectacular view of the Lost City of the Incas. You will then have a 2 hour guided tour around Machu Picchu with plenty of free time afterwards to explore on your own. If you have tickets to climb the amazing mountain of Huaynapicchu, your guide will direct you to where to begin this hike after the tour (please make sure this is arranged at least a month in advance of your visit as tickets do sell out and are $15 per person). Once you are done with exploring all Machu Picchu has to offer, you will take a bus down to Aguas Calientes and then take an afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo and then by bus to Cusco where we will drop you off at your hotel.

Extra Information to Machu Picchu

Expedition Service option

(formally known as the backpacker option) This is the cheapest, but still a very comfortable way of getting to Machu Picchu. The excursion leaves at 6:15 am and includes the transfer from your hotel. You arrive in Machu Picchu around 10:15. A guided tour is included as well as the bus ticket from the train station to the ruins (roundtrip) and the entrance fee to the ruins. You arrive back in Cusco around 8:00 pm.
If you wish to climb Huayna Picchu, permits need to be organised at the time of booking.

Vistadome option

A more memorable way of visiting Machu Picchu. The trip leaves at 6:00 am and includes the transfer from your hotel. You arrive in Machu Picchu around 9:45. A guided tour is included, as well as the bus ticket from the train station to the ruins (roundtrip) and the entrance fee to the ruins. You arrive back in Cusco around 7:30 pm. Compared to the backpacker the Vistadome train is faster, has snack-service, bigger windows and is generally a more comfortable experience.
If you wish to climb Huayna Picchu, permits need to be organised at the time of booking.


  • Bring your original passport if you would like the classic Machu Picchu stamp.
  • Be ready for your transfer from your hotel 45 mins before the train departure so as not to delay the transfer of other passengers.
  • Bring your ISIC student card at the time of paying your remaining balance at our office in Cusco, and bring it to Machupicchu to show it at the entrance of the Park.
  • Your entrance ticket to Machu Picchu is valid for the 1 day.
  • If you're interested in climbing Huayna Picchu please confirm in your booking, extra $15 pp
  • Peru Rail luggage allowance is a small day-pack ( 5-6 kgs).
  • Your expedition train will be arriving to Aguas Calientes before mid-day.
