New route to Choquequirao in Cusco
The land is the only way to reach the citadel of Choquequirao, located in the foothills of Mount Salkantay in the region of Cusco, and the route is known and used by Abancay. 32 young people from the Student Federation of Anta yet reached the archaeological complex with a new access, through the province of Anta.
The acting mayor of the province of Anta, Hilario Valdivia, said the new route is touted to Choquequirao enabling a dirt road, with an investment of a million suns in agreement with the District Municipality of Mollepata.
This new route through the province of Anta district ranges from Mollepata to the area of San Francisco, from there it goes on and bridle path leads to the citadel of Choquequirao.
From the sector Ccamas to San Francisco has been enabling the dirt road so that not only the local population and students have access but also tourists who come to Cusco.
